Information for Authors

Please check the workshop schedule to verify whether you need to prepare a poster or a 20-minutes talk (including questions).

For lecture presentations, a PC with Windows OS and a projector will be provided. Presenters who want to use this PC for their presentation should upload their presentation files to it prior to their sessions. Presenters who want to use their own laptop should connect them during the question-answering time of the previous presentation.

The size of poster boards is 4′ x 4′ (1.2m x 1.2m).

Prospective authors are strongly encouraged to follow the steps below to prepare and submit a full-length paper to the WASPAA 2015 Technical Committee. Supporting multimedia material like audio examples can optionally be submitted for review as well. All WASPAA papers will be handled and reviewed electronically. The submission site is

Preparation of the Paper

In order to help authors prepare an IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF for submission to WASPAA 2015, we compiled a list of guidelines and put together a paper template for users of LaTeX.

These guidelines and templates are modified from those for ICASSP and past WASPAA workshops, so an experienced author who has published something in these conferences/workshops will find it easy to follow the guidelines and use the templates.

Page Limits

Submissions may be a maximum of 5 pages. Up to 4 pages may contain technical content, figures, and references. The 5th page must contain only references. Documents over 5 pages will be rejected. Documents with a 5th page containing anything other than references will be rejected.

Submission Format

All submissions must be in .pdf format and conform to the author style guidelines available in the

Accepted papers must pass IEEE PDF Express™ format verification prior to publication. Format verification details will be announced with paper acceptance notification.

Optional Attachment

Authors may provide an optional audio file to illustrate the work in the paper for reviewers.  The attachment must be in one of the following formats:
– MP3 audio file (file extension .mp3)
– MP4 audio file (file extension .mp4)
